Society6 Pillow Review

Throw pillow, society6, review
I recently bought my own pillow with my new piece " Of The Angels" on society6 and thought I do a review on it. I felt like this deserved a good honest review and I thought it would be helpful for those who are hesitant to buy a pillow from society6, or for those who may have questions in regards to the whole process all together.

This will cover
Ordering Process
Shipping/arrival
Packaging/Branding
Quality of the pillow
Size
Softness
How the art translated on the image.

Ordering Process:
The ordering process is fairly easy, you just add the item to the cart and the whole total appears on the screen. For this pillow I paid a total of $26.21 that includes shipping (which I got for free) and CA state tax (which was around $2 dollars.) Society6 takes debit or credit as well as paypal. (Which is amazing because I know some companies who don't take paypal, which is one the main payment options I pick most of the time.)

I placed my order on October 8th

Shipping/Arrival :
I received my pillow on October 14th which is a total of 6 days. It came pretty quick despite there being a holiday. Otherwise I would have received it October 13th. I found their turn around time highly impressive for a print on demand item. I sell print on demand items in my shop and Ive order my share of print on demand items. Some take 2 weeks on average to arrive but 6 days is pretty impressive.

Packaging/Branding:
(unfornately I forgot to take a picture of the packaging) but it was delivered in a plastic mailer and the pillow was inside a clear plastic sleeve. The branding on the package is very minimal. it only appeared on the shipping label and the receipt inside. Other than that there is not a lot of branding on the packaging. Which I like.

Quality of the pillow
Time for pictures! Above is what the pillow looked liked.I bought a 16x16 inch pillow with insert (with cost a few extra dollars to include)

Throw pillow, review
Here is another view of the pillow. I really love the look and shape of the pillow and how soft it looks without even laying on it.

society6 reciew

I don't have the best camera in the world, but here is a close up on the details of the pillows. If you look closely into the pillow you can see the texture of the pillow through the image which gives the effect of additional details to the image.

This is the bottom of the pillow that shows a concealed white zipper that I barely noticed when I got the pillow. I completely almost missed it.  I really like the sleekness of the zipper and how its not noticeable. If you are putting your own stuffing I would suggest to unzip it slowly because the zipper could get caught on to the stuffing.
The zipper is not difficult to zip and unzip and wont seem to break off easily like most zippers. But I would still recommend to not unzip the pillow aggressively because it is a zipper and any type of zipper can break if handled roughly.

This is what the inside of the pillow looks like if you buy the pillow insert from Society6. The insert is surprising very soft and doesn't go too close to the zipper so the zipper getting caught on the stuffing wont be an issue. The stuffing is just a simple white mini 16x16 inch 100% polyester pillow that is easy to remove, in case you want to stuff with something else.

This is what the view of the pillow on the side. So you can see how big the pillow is with the insert Society6 offers you. The stitching on the pillow is very well done as well.

This is the top view of the pillow to show you how the image is printed on both sides and how it is mirrored. The image on both sides go the same direction. So no matter what side you have the pillow on the image will always remain the same as the other side. It doesn't go the opposite direction than the other sides, its completely identical.

A small Society 6 logo appears on the bottom right side of the pillow, which is hardly noticeable.

Size:
The size I bought was 16x16 inches, you can get a bigger size for a few more dollars. You can get a 18x18 inch pillow or a 20 by 20 inch pillow. For those who have a hard time trying to figure out how big 16 x16 inches is and need a visual (like me) scroll down!

Next to the pillow is a standard binder. As you can see it is a few inches taller than an average binder you can buy at a store. So 16x16 inches is a good size to leave an impression in your home but not take up too much space. I personally like the pillow size and it is very noticeable against the very cool colors in my room

Softness.
The fabric of the pillow case is made from 100% spun poplin polyester fabric. The pillow case itself has a slight rough texture but still soft at the same time. The pillow case is very thick and seems like it will last a long time. The pillow insert inside the pillow is very soft is very fluffy

How The Art Translated On The Pillow
Here is the original image:
In my opinion the image looks exactly like the original picture except more expanded and zoomed in. The colors appeared to be at the same saturation and the same quality. It translated surprising well and better than I expected!

All I can say is, it looks exactly like the image file.

Hope this helped answered your questions before you go along and buy a new pillow from Society6. Its a company that has been around for a while and I highly recommend that you buy from them!
