Buying Art, 4 Ways to get a GREAT Experience from it

Buying Art, How To Achieve The Best Experience From It

1. Buy Art That You Love
This may sound vague but it is true, in order for you to get the full experience from buying your first art piece, you need to buy a piece of art you LOVE.

This Means Buying a Piece of Art That
Moves you
That speaks to you
That inspires you
One that you can get lost in

What ever makes you feel like you stepped out of reality in any way..is the type of art you should buy.

2. Learn About The Artist
Doing this will not only help you appreciate the artwork more, but it will
help you get to know the artist as well. This is great to build a more personal connection to the art piece  because you get to know the inner workings of it.
Sure, it's interesting to know what the art piece was made out of.. but learning the rich history and getting to know the artist makes the experience priceless

3. Buy More Than One Art Piece From One Artist
An artist's vision and artistic talents are not all showcased in one pair of work. The vision and the experience of owning that artist's art piece is better expressed when more than one piece is obtained.

Think of it as eating a meal
The experience eating a burger from your favorite restaurant would not be the same if you just ordered a burger.. Add fries and a soda and the experience is more enhanced.

The same for getting to know someone.
You can't just meet a person one time and expect to understand them completely. It takes a few more visits and well invested time with them to actually get to know them better

All this applies to art, by buying more than one piece from one artist, you get to further understand the artist and their work a little better.

4. Connect with the Artist
Thanks to social media, making connections to an artist has never been easier! Make sure you follow the artist through their newsletter, email list, blog, Facebook etc and send them pictures of the art you just bought from them. Not only will you feel more connected to the artist, but you also help build trust towards the artists for all their potential art buyers to see
