What I Did For My Art Career Today

Welcome to the first segment of "What I Did For My Art Career Today" or "WIDFMAC" for

short. This will be a short record of what I did for my art career for a given day.

If you wondering what this is, this is just a small record for me to look back one to see what I have been doing when it comes to my art.

I will try to post these daily.

WHAT I DID FOR MY ART CAREER TODAY
[ "WIDFMAC"]
7/1/2014

1. Promoted my Art using Twitter
Usually every morning I schedule tweets throughout the day In order to keep a regular flow ofactivity towards my twitter. Its funny because I use my art twitter more than I use my personal one now. At times I actually forget I have a personal twitter.
I did this pretty late today, I normally aim to schedule my tweets starting at 7:00 am but I woke up at 12:00pm

Here is a favorite tweet of mine today!

2. Promoted My Art Using Facebook
I wanted to re promote "Fables Ghost" I feel like that piece of one of my favorite pieces that I have created this year and I really wanted to have more exposure towards it. So I did my usual promotion of FB groups. My Facebook Page has always helped me grow a great fan base regardless of the algorithms that change within it!

4,332 fans and growing! ^-^
3. Promoted Using Deviantart
I recently joined Deviantart and decided to bring in more exposure to my profile. I joined the getwatchers group which is really helping me with getting more views to my profile. I am planning to get a premium membership soon too

4. Started Working On a New Art Piece

This isn't a good picture of the new piece but I will have more information on the progress of it tomorrow!
My plan is to make a series of day of the dead art pieces.

Just waiting to take better pictures of it first. its going to be a three part series so stay tune!

5. Finished Making This Blog.
This blog was very incomplete before. I had to edit some of the pages, adjust the coding on the template to my liking and add links to my other social media accounts.  Looks good so far I might change the banner a bit to something more simple.

6.Made a StoreEnvy Account
Okay I lied. I had a store envy before but completely forgot I had one because I was mainly focusing on my etsy shop. But I decided to re-open my storeenvy shop. The competition isn't so high on storeenvy for art so I figured it would be a good place to set up shop. I been meaning to bring in more publicity for my art by selling in different websites. Lets see how this goes!
Planning to just sell prints of my work on there for now

7. Joined 3 more Sites To Sell Art On

I recently stumbled upon three new websites to sell my art on which are Nuvango, Dynomighty and Tattoodo.

I haven't added any content on those sites yet but I will give you a brief on the sites I joined.
Nuvango pretty much will be used for to sell canvases, cases, skins and more
Dynomighty has an interesting concept of turning art into a nice and very durable wallet (which reminds me that I need to buy a new wallet)
And Tattoodoo. I love doing tattoo commissions and decided to join tattoodoo to start working on some tattoo art commissions for some of the people who request it on the site. It also would be good practice for me to do

Will Keep and update on when I add content to the sites I joined so stay turn!

8. Contacted 5 Companies
I really wanted to license my work with more companies so I decided to message a few companies looking for licensed artists. So far I contacted five companies I thought my art would be a perfect fit for, so wish me luck!

9. Promoted My Etsy Listings
I normally promote listing in my Etsy Shop early in the morning because I found that it gave me more views to my shop. Combined with that, twitter and talking to people on the forums I ended up getting a 322 views today. Etsy has changed their shop layouts. A lot of people don't like the new layout but I LOVE IT. WHY? Because I sell art, The bigger images of my art really makes the whole shop pop
